Our Inspiration
Aviation is innovation; it is the very epitome of hope and inspiration.
Cast your mind back over the years to all that aviation has represented. It is part of the human narrative, reflecting our inquisitiveness and ability to progress. Belief in the dream that one day we could fly.
The iconic nose-art during war times, illustrative of so much pain, romance, fear, death, colour, anger, strength, rage and fragility; all at the same time and in such simple form, no wonder it can touch us so deeply.
Our air force provides the sense of being watched over, guarded and protected by our brave aviators who take to the skies in our defence whenever needed.
By way of contrast, we have the excitement and romance of flight, to whisk us away on holiday or business trips and the like. We can discover new experiences, cultures and opportunities.
Then, of course, you have the pilots who use the sky as their playground; aerobatics, formation flying and air- racing.
There is so much heritage, so many iconic images.
The constant theme of seeking, of striving to find the new, to innovate and more than anything to achieve excellence.
Our task was to distil what aviation and the field of aeronautics meant to us and how we would weave it into our own design and development processes.
We wanted to draw on some of the beautiful aerodynamic shapes found in aviation.
The careful consideration given to specific elements used for their lightweight strength, and durability and overall performance.
The clarity of vision that has always been key for aviators was, of course, our prime objective.
Aeronautics is the study of the science of flight and in true aeronautical style, we too are always in pursuit of the science behind excellence.
